Joe McElderry is voting for Cher Lloyd in this year's 'The X Factor'.
The 'There's A Place For Us' singer - who won the show last year - admitted while it is hard to tell who will win this series, he has chosen to support the 17-year-old hopeful, as he doesn't feel she has the backing of the public.
He said: "It's really hard to tell who is going to win this year's series because there have already been lots of shocks and twists along the way. I genuinely feel that anything could happen over the next week and a half.
"I've been voting for Cher as I feel that she needs more votes. I feel a duty to vote because of all the people who voted for me before."
However, the teenage rapper isn't the only 'X Factor' hopeful Joe has been imparting his words of wisdom onto, as the 19-year-old star has also been giving his winner's tips to Cher's fellow finalists Matt Cardle, Rebecca Ferguson and boyband One Direction.
He said: "I saw some of the 'X Factor' contestants when I was down at the 'Narnia' premiere last week. It was really good to catch up with them. I spoke to Rebecca, Matt and One Direction and gave them some tips for the finals."
