Gardai in Co Limerick have recovered a young girl’s body from the River Shannon.

Gardai in Co Limerick have recovered a young girl’s body from the River Shannon.

The body was taken from the water at Parteen this afternoon. It is believed to be that of 16-year-old Lindsay Kiely, who has been missing since falling into the river on Thursday, June 6.

The young girl’s friend, 16-year-old Victor O’Connor, drowned after jumping into the water in an attempt to save her. His body was recovered last Friday.
