The Mahon Tribunal is due to resume public sitting this morning after its two-week Easter break.

Former cabinet minister Ray Burke is scheduled to appear in the witness box this morning to answer questions relating the evidence of property developer Tom Gilmartin.

Mr Gilmartin has claimed Mr Burke was present at the now infamous Leinster House meeting in early 1989, but Mr Burke is expected to say that he has no recollection of any such meeting.

Mr Gilmartin has claimed he was approached after the meeting by an unidentified man and asked to deposit £5m in an offshore bank account for Fianna Fáil.
