Large crowds are expected today at the funeral of the Co Offaly publican found dead following a suspected robbery at his premises in Daingean last week.

Large crowds are expected today at the funeral of the Co Offaly publican found dead following a suspected robbery at his premises in Daingean last week.

Matt Farrell's body was found by his son at the Gaelic Bar last Wednesday morning.

The 64-year-old father-of-four had died of head injuries.

Mr Farrell is due to be laid to rest at Daingean cemetery following funeral mass at 11am today.
