Gardaí investigate armed robbery in Co Meath

Gardaí in Co. Meath are searching for two men after an armed robbery on a cash-in-transit van in Bettystown.

Gardaí in Co. Meath are searching for two men after an armed robbery on a cash-in-transit van in Bettystown.

The men, one armed, made off on foot with an undisclosed amount of money after approaching the vehicle at 1.20pm today.

One man was dressed in a blue striped top and black bottoms, while the second wore a dark navy top and black bottoms.

Both wore balaclavas and surgical type gloves.

Nobody was injured in the incident and Gardaí at Laytown are appealing for witnesses.
