The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is today publishing its pre-budget submission to the new government.
The charity wants to see increased spending in public services and more investment in social housing.
The Government is due to prepare and announce details for Budget 2017 in October of this year.
However, Head of Social Justice with SVP John-Mark McCafferty, said they felt it was important to get their priorities across to the Government early: “To set our agenda in front of the people, in front of the media, to really set out our vision for a fairer society and to set the conversation really for the rest of the year in terms of investing in public services.
“In terms of ensuring that Government prioritise investing in public housing, investing in early childhood education.”
