Lauryn Hill is to give a rare concert on New Year's Eve.
The former Fugees singer is to perform on the rooftop of New York's Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel, where she and an exclusive audience will see in 2011.
Although it is quite an intimate show, organisers are said to be working on a deal for the performance to be televised or streamed online.
Lauryn - who is said to be working on a new album, her first studio LP since 1998's multi award-winning 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' - recently revealed she changes the arrangements on some of her classic songs at her gigs because she wants to keep them fresh, but accepts her fans may not appreciate her efforts.
The 'Everything Is Everything' singer said: "I have to upgrade them a bit so that they're still exciting and fresh and they're new.
"There's something almost jazz-like in the way I approach performances. I'm not sure if the audience really understands. We need, or at least I need a certain amount of spontaneity, a certain amount of improvisation every show."
