Protestors gather in Mayo

There is a strong Garda presence at the Shell site in Co Mayo this evening as hundreds of protestors from the Shell to Sea group plan to descend on the facility at Glengad beach.

There is a strong Garda presence at the Shell site in Co Mayo this evening as hundreds of protestors from the Shell to Sea group plan to descend on the facility at Glengad beach.

The group said they will dismantle fencing at the Corrib Gas Pipeline site, and have called for supporters from across the country to take part.

Gardaí say no arrests have been made at this stage.
