No Irish trip for Sans Loi

Alan McCabe has decided not to send Sans Loi for the Jebel Ali Stables & Racecourse Anglesey Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.

The Newark trainer feels the son of Lawman deserves a rest after four racecourse appearances inside a month.

The youngster only made his debut at Nottingham in early June and has since won at Pontefract as well as contesting two Group Twos - the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot and Newmarket's July Stakes.

"He's not going to Ireland on Sunday. We're just backing off him and giving him a bit of a break," said McCabe.

"He was a bit buzzy at Newmarket and keen early on. He's had four quick races so he deserves a holiday and we'll bring him back in the autumn."
