'Fat Freddie' Thompson jailed for 20 months after starting brawl in Dublin

'Fat' Freddie Thompson has been jailed for 20 months for starting a pub brawl in Dublin’s city centre.

The 34-year-old of Loreto Road, Maryland in Dublin 8 was extradited from Amsterdam last year to face the charge of violent disorder at Morrissey's Pub on Cork Street in January 2013.

The court heard that the brawl began when Freddie Thompson over-reacted during a ‘slagging ‘match - throwing a punch and a bottle.
