The ISPCA has discovered an unlicensed puppy farm in Co Wexford, housing almost 150 poorly treated animals.

The ISPCA has discovered an unlicensed puppy farm in Co Wexford, housing almost 150 poorly treated animals.

It follows two recent cases in Laois/Offaly and North Tipperary where dogs were kept in very poor conditions.

It has prompted further calls for stricter controls on the licensing of puppy farms.
