The GAA's Disputes Resolution Authority has given the go ahead for Sunday's Meath SFC final between Dunboyne and Blackhall Gaels.
The DRA last night upheld the ruling of both the Meath county board and the Leinster Council with regard to the expulsion of Navan O'Mahony's from the Meath football championship.
The DRA meeting lasted a full four hours at the Ardboyne Hotel.
O'Mahony's were appealing their axeing after it emerged that they had beaten Dunboyne in their semi-final clash having used four substitutes in extra-time - one more than GAA rules permit.
What is more galling for the Navan club is the fact that the illegal player failed to even touch the ball late on in their two-point win.
Dunboyne, who decided against a replay after the Meath county board put the offer to them, will face Blackhall on Sunday at Pairc Tailteann.
