Up to 20 households were left without water following a burst pipe, Northern Ireland Water confirmed today.

Up to 20 households were left without water following a burst pipe, Northern Ireland Water confirmed today.

The incident occurred yesterday evening and affected residents in Co Tyrone for several hours.

This is the second time supplies have been interrupted in recent days following damage to a pipe connected to Killyclogher reservoir.

The lake ran dry and a Northern Ireland Water spokeswoman said the damage may be linked to recent downpours dislodging earth.

Replacement service has been provided and complaints have stopped, she added.

An investigation will be carried out.
