Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the suspicious death of a man in the city last night.

Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the suspicious death of a man in the city last night.

The 54-year-old was found dead on the footpath on Upper Mayor Street just after 7pm.

The body was removed from the scene to the city morgue where State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy will carry out a post mortem examination this morning.

The scene has been preserved and a technical examination is being carried out.

Gardaí from Store Street are investigating the incident.
