The Democratic Unionist Party has attacked the US special envoy to Ireland over his views on contentious loyalist parades.

The Democratic Unionist Party has attacked the US special envoy to Ireland over his views on contentious loyalist parades.

In a leaked e-mail to the Washington-based Irish National Caucus, Mitchell Reiss described some loyalist parades as provocative, intimidating, malicious and designed to convey superiority.

The DUP’s Gregory Campbell accused Mr Reiss of swallowing republican propaganda and has called for clarification of the comments.
