SIPTU has accused the Government of blatant bias in favour of employers in the current partnership negotiations.

SIPTU has accused the Government of blatant bias in favour of employers in the current partnership negotiations.

Speaking after an address to a conference of union members in Galway this afternoon, SIPTU vice-president Jack O'Connor said the talks are destined for failure unless the Government changes its approach.

He said they need adopt an imaginative, positive, pro-active attitude which is about providing leadership and levering both sides towards agreement in order to ensure the prospect of success at the talks.
