Two men and a woman were tonight being quizzed by gardaí after an armed robbery in north Dublin today.
The trio were arrested when their car was stopped nearby.
A quantity of cash, an imitation firearm, balaclavas and gloves were seized.
Officers investigating an earlier robbery of a bookmaker’s shop in Swords stopped the car in which they were travelling in nearby Kinsealy after 3pm.
“Two men earlier entered the premises, produced a firearm and demanded cash,” a garda spokesperson said.
“A quantity of cash was taken from the till. No shots were fired.
“The men escaped in a car driven by a female.”
The woman and two men were tonight being held for questioning at Malahide, Swords, and Coolock garda stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act.
