Representatives of disabilities groups will meet Junior Minister Mary Wallace today to discuss amendments to the controversial Disabilities Bill.

Representatives of disabilities groups will meet Junior Minister Mary Wallace today to discuss amendments to the controversial Disabilities Bill.

The Government last week announced plans to remove certain provisions from the proposed legislation following protests from people with disabilities.

The People With Disabilities in Ireland group has welcomed the move, but said it has still to find out the extent to which Ms Wallace can address "the deficiencies and the defects in the Bill".
