Gardaí have arrested three men in connection with the discovery of a pipe bomb in Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford in February.

Gardaí have arrested three men in connection with the discovery of a pipe bomb in Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford in February.

One man was arrested in Dublin and two others were arrested in Co. Longford this morning.

The men are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Longford and Roscommon Garda Stations.

One man is in his 20's, another in his 40s and the third in his 60s and they can be detained for up to 72 hours.
