One man has died in Clare helicopter crash

A man has been killed in a helicopter crash in Co Clare.

A man has been killed in a helicopter crash in Co Clare.

Two people were on board the helicopter when it went down in the village of Ballynacally shortly before 1pm this afternoon.

It is believed the Irish Helicopters chopper was inspecting gas pipelines at the time.

One man died at the scene, while the other has been flown to hospital in Galway where he is believed to be in a serious condition.

Emergency services are at the scene.
