Car insurance premiums 'back down to 1992 levels'
The cost of car insurance has dropped back to the level it was at in 1992, according to the Irish Insurance Federation.
The business group said today that premiums had fallen by 45% in the past three years.
It says this has led to savings of €632m for policy-holders.
