Dublin bin collection charges increase

The price of bin collection in Dublin is being hiked from today, due to an increase in landfill levies from €50 to €65 per tonne, in a bid to encourage recycling.

The price of bin collection in Dublin is being hiked from today, due to an increase in landfill levies from €50 to €65 per tonne, in a bid to encourage recycling.

Operators are varying in their increases, with Greyhound raising its fees by 16.5%, while Greenstar and Panda are passing on the hike on a pro-rata basis.

Oxigen is not making any increases in the Dublin area this year.
