A man will appear at Bray District Court later charged in connection with the killing of Wicklow woman Anne Shortall.

A man will appear at Bray District Court later charged in connection with the killing of Wicklow woman Anne Shortall.

The body of the 47-year-old was discovered in a shed near Ashford on Tuesday afternoon .

Ms Shortall was last seen alive on Good Friday afternoon in Wicklow town.

A major search was launched over the course of the weekend when her family became concerned about her.

A 38-year-old man was arrested on the same day in connection with her death.

The probe was upgraded by Gardaí to a murder investigation last evening following a post mortem.
