Eva Mendes thinks Cameron Diaz is the perfect film co-star.
The ‘Other Guys’ actress – who worked with Diaz on MTV documentary ‘Trippin’ in Nepal in 2008 – admits she thinks of Cameron as a “good buddy” because she always “takes care of business”.
Speaking at the gala premiere of Adam McKay’s ‘The Other Guys’ at Vue Leicester Square, Eva told BANG Showbiz: “I think Cameron Diaz is a good buddy to have, you know? She takes care of business. And she doesn’t mess around. I’ve seen her in action and she’s kind of amazing. I saw her ride an elephant in a safari once in Nepal while I cried like a baby because I was too scared.”
The 36-year-old actress also confesses she would like to work on more directing roles having just worked on her first short movie with Christina Ricci thanks to Glamour magazine, which enlisted her to create a film based on a personal story of a reader.
She said: “I just directed my first short film and Christina Ricci is in it. I have an amazing cast. I can’t tell you the joy I’ve found through directing. I would love to do something... I don’t know if I’m ready for a feature but that is something that excites me, for sure. I’m into creating a world and a vision.”
