Ireland U-20 coach Allen Clarke has named his team for their final IRB Toshiba Junior World Championship pool game against Uruguay in Nagoya on Saturday.
Clarke has made several changes to the team with only three players remaining in the first XV from the side who were defeated 17-0 by New Zealand on Tuesday.
David Kearney moves to full-back while Danny Barnes comes in to the side to replace centre Nevin Spence who picked up a wrist injury during the New Zealand test. Shane Gahan moves up from the replacements to join Barnes in the centre.
Jonny Sheils and Ronan O’Mahony slot in on the wing while Andrew Burke and Conor Murray have both been promoted from the replacements to start at out half and scrum half respectively.
Ballynahinch pair Paddy McAllister and David McGregor will be joined by Jack O’Connell, who makes his first appearance of the tournament, in the front row.
Both Joe Moran and David O’Callaghan will come off the bench to start in the second row. Rhys Ruddock moves to blinside Flanker and Brian O’Hara retains the number seven spot. Captain, Peter O’Mahony returns to the line up in the number 8 spot.
