Residents were evacuated from their homes after an explosion outside a police station in the North early today.

Residents were evacuated from their homes after an explosion outside a police station in the North early today.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland said there were no reports of injuries in the incident outside Strand Road station in Derry at 12.15am.

Strand Road was closed between the junction of Clarendon Street and Lawrence Hill.
