There is some good news for the Irish economy as the credit ratings agency Fitch has indicated that it may soon remove Ireland's negative ratings outlook.

However, it has said that an upgrade of our triple B -plus rating could still be some way off.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the agency's new analyst for Ireland Gergely Kiss said upgrading our credit rating will depend on what sort of deal the country can secure with the EU to lighten our debt burden.
