Clean-up at Letterkenny General to continue into next week

A major clean-up operation is continuing at Letterkenny General Hospital, following severe flooding on Friday evening.

It is expected that the extensive clean-up operation will continue for the rest of this weekend and into next week.

The Emergency Department remains closed today and patients are being diverted to Sligo Regional Hospital and Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry.

The HSE has said the hospital is closed to all visitors to avoid risk of contamination and the spread of infection.
