The threat of industrial action, over severance for former Greencore employees, still remains a distinct possibility.

The plight of the workers will be high on the agenda of a SIPTU regional conference in Killarney this weekend.

The Union's General Secretary Joe O'Flynn was critical of Greencore's rejection of Labour Court recommendations on worker compensation.

“And we'll be calling on the Government not to pay one cent of that money to the company under the workers rights have been fully vindicated."
