Body taken to Waterford for post mortem

A post mortem on the body of the man who was found in Kilkenny city will be carried out at Waterford Regional Hospital later today.

A post mortem on the body of the man who was found in Kilkenny city will be carried out at Waterford Regional Hospital later today.

The Assistant State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy will carry out the examination to determine the exact cause of death.

It is believed the man's death was caused during a street fight.

A man in his twenties has been arrested in connection to the incident and he is still being questioned by the Gardai.

It is thought that the victim and the man who is being questioned were both at a night-club in the area last night.
