A man remains in a critical condition in hospital this morning after a gun attack in west Dublin yesterday.

A man remains in a critical condition in hospital this morning after a gun attack in west Dublin yesterday.

It happened on Oranmore Road in Ballyfermot when a lone gunman opened fire, hitting the victim at least three times in the upper body.

The man, aged in his 40s, is now fighting for life at Saint James' Hospital.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, but have so far made no arrests.
