The National Roads Authority has reportedly decided to reduce tolls at the Dublin Port Tunnel in an effort to get more motorists to use the facility on weekends.

At present, private car owners have to pay €6 to use the tunnel between 6am and 10pm on weekends and bank holidays.

Reports this morning say the NRA has decided to reduce this to €3 in an effort to attract more motorists travelling to Dublin Airport and to major sporting events in the city.
