Gardaí have arrested two people following the seizure of a kilo of heroin during a stop-and-search operation in central Dublin.

Gardaí have arrested two people following the seizure of a kilo of heroin during a stop-and-search operation in central Dublin.

The drugs were found when gardaí searched a man and a woman on James' Street today.

The heroin is thought to have a street value of €150,000.

The 26-year-old man and the woman, who is 54, are being detained at Kevin St and Kilmainham Garda stations under section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
