New figures show Dunnes Stores has become Ireland's largest grocery retailer.

The supermarket increased its market share to 22.6% during the past 12 weeks to clinch the top spot - up from 22% this time last year.

Kantar Worldpanel says SuperValu has 22.4% of the market with an increase in sales of 2.3% year-on-year.

Tesco's market share for groceries now stands at 21.4%, while German retailer Lidl's share of the market stands at 11.4%, followed by Aldi on 11.1%.
