Two due in court in relation to €13m drugs haul

Two men arrested at the weekend in connection with a massive €13m drugs seizure in Lusk, north Co Dublin, are to appear in court this morning.

Two men arrested at the weekend in connection with a massive €13m drugs seizure in Lusk, north Co Dublin, are to appear in court this morning.

Gardaí from the National Bureau of Criminal Investigations and the National Drugs Unit discovered about a ton of cannabis resin and 13 kilos of cocaine during the search of a business premises in Lusk.

The drugs haul, thought to be worth up to €13m, is one of the largest drugs finds in the history of the State.

The men are due to appear in Dublin District Court this morning. A third man who was arrested in connection with the seizure was released without charge.
