A man escaped injury after his house came under gun attack in Northern Ireland today.

A man escaped injury after his house came under gun attack in Northern Ireland today.

He was woken from his sleep shortly after midnight when a number of shots were fired at his home in Norwood Court, Coleraine, Co Derry.

The man then found three bullet holes in a front window and strike marks on the living room ceiling.

Police have removed several items from the scene for forensic examination.
