A jailed IRA terrorist and an armed robber have won their High Court damages action against the Home Office over alleged attacks by prison officers after a breakout.

A jailed IRA terrorist and an armed robber have won their High Court damages action against the Home Office over alleged attacks by prison officers after a breakout.

Terrorist Danny McNamee and robber Andrew Russell alleged they were subjected to "excessive force" following an unsuccessful jailbreak.

A similar claim by Liam McCotter, who was also jailed as an IRA terrorist, failed.
