Drogheda United beat UCD 1-0 at Hunky Dorys Park to record a sixth win on the spin and move to within a point of leaders Sligo Rovers.

Bohs utterly dominated the first half, finally taking the lead on 35 minutes when skipper Owen Heary's headed form Peter McMahon's cross got a final touch from Evan McMillan.

Central defender McMillan then got his second goal of the game in first half stoppage time with a fine stooping header from Keith Ward's corner.

The game's chief incident came on 84 minutes when Cork's recent signing, substitute Keigan Parker, was shown a straight red card following a clash with Shelbourne defender Brian Shortall.
