FA Cup: Fulham sweat on Davis

Fulham’s England Under-21 international Sean Davis will have a final fitness check ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final clash at Division One frontrunners West Brom.

The midfielder recovered from a viral infection last week, but then sustained a bruised thigh in Saturday’s 2-0 reverse against Liverpool, ruling him out of Wednesday’s 3-2 derby defeat at Chelsea.

However, Cottagers boss Jean Tigana must make do without another midfielder, injury-plagued Lee Clark.

The former Newcastle man returned from his Achilles injury against Liverpool, but promptly suffered a calf strain.

Frenchman Sylvain Legwinski served his one-match ban for collecting five yellow cards at Stamford Bridge and is back in Tigana’s squad.

Team (from): van der Sar, Brevett, Finnan, Ouaddou, Melville, Goma, Collins, Legwinski, Knight, Malbranque, Davis, Taylor, Marlet, Saha, Hayles, Boa Morte.
