Limerick crash claims second victim

A second man has died from injuries sustained in a road accident in Co Limerick on Sunday.

A second man has died from injuries sustained in a road accident in Co Limerick on Sunday.

The 21-year-old driver of the car which struck a wall in Bruff died in hospital overnight.

He has been named as Ciaran McCarthy from Knocklong in Limerick.

His friend, 32-year-old Gerard Leahy from Kilmallock, died in the immediate aftermath of the crash.

A third passenger is this morning fighting for his life in hospital.
