Thaw predicted for Sunday

The thaw is still expected to reach us on Sunday but there is more snow forecast for Ulster today.

The thaw is still expected to reach us on Sunday but there is more snow forecast for Ulster today.

Met Éireann says it should not affect the rest of the country too badly.

Forecaster David Rogers says with any luck, the wind will not change direction before the snow falls today.

"There’s a few showers going to move into the north east and east of Ulster over the next few hours, but the way the wind is blowing the track that they’ll take then will be away from Ulster into the Irish Sea and should be kept away from the east coast of Leinster during the course of the day," he said.
