The ISEQ index of shares rose 25.58 points to 6054.06 in morning trade today, boosted by an upward trend in the financial stocks.
AIB was up 12c to €16.62 while Bank of Ireland rose 11c to €12.39. Anglo Irish Bank rose 16c to €9.76. Irish Life and Permanent was the only one of the financials to see a fall, down 5c to €13.
Drinks and snacks company C&C saw a 10c fall in their share price to €3.20 after the announcement today of its first set of annual results since flotation.
Operating profit at the group was up 3.5% to €115.1m in the year to the end of February. C&C also reduced its net debt by €40m to €441m in the year.
