Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier has been discharged from hospital after undergoing a life-saving heart operation three weeks ago.
Houllier was taken to hospital after suffering chest pains during his team’s game against Leeds on October 13.
He underwent surgery for 11 hours that same night after doctors discovered he was suffering from a condition known as dissection of the aorta.
During his absence, assistant manager Phil Thompson has been in charge of the team. Despite his apparent recovery, Houllier will not be attending Liverpool’s home game against Manchester United on Sunday.
