The ISEQ index of Irish shares just about entered the black today, after a .78-point rise to 6778.34.
Financial stocks did not see any rises - Anglo Irish Bank saw the biggest fall, down 10c to €11 while AIB was down 2c to €17.98. Bank of Ireland - which today welcomed the acceptance by staff of cost-cutting recommendations - saw a 2c fall to €13.80.
Irish Life and Permanent stayed level at €15.
Building stocks showed among the best performances today. McInerney was up 5c to €8.55, while Kingspan rose 7c to €10.58.
