Several shots were fired through the front door of a home, gardaí have said.

Several shots were fired through the front door of a home, gardaí have said.

The gun attack took place at a house in Heather Grove, Clara, Co Offaly at about 2.15am.

Gardaí said a number of people were in the house at the time but no-one was injured.

The scene has been preserved for gardaí to carry out a full technical examination.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone in the Heather Grove area between 1.30am and 3am to contact them.
