The contents of a suspicious envelope found in Social Welfare offices in Ballyfermot, West Dublin today have been handed over the Gardaí.

The contents of a suspicious envelope found in Social Welfare offices in Ballyfermot, West Dublin today have been handed over the Gardaí.

The area around the offices, which had been sealed off from early this afternoon, has now been reopened to the public.

There was speculation that it may have been an anthrax scare, but the material has now been described as "low risk" by the Army.
