Post mortem due on body found in Galway Bay

A post-mortem will take place today to establish the cause of death of a man who was recovered from Galway Bay yesterday.

A post-mortem will take place today to establish the cause of death of a man who was recovered from Galway Bay yesterday.

His body was found just two miles west of Barna following a joint search operation by the Galway RNLI Lifeboat and the Irish Coastguard.

The direction of a garda investigation into his death will be determined by the results of the post-mortem.
