Girls Guides start centenary celebrations later

The Irish Girls Guides are celebrating their centenary this year with the launch of a party later today.

The Irish Girls Guides are celebrating their centenary this year with the launch of a party later today.

Today's event marks 100 years of the Girl Guides which is the largest female organisation in Ireland with more than 10,500 members.

Celebrations get underway in the RDS in Dublin this afternoon and are set to last all year long with various events taking place across the country over the next 12 months.
