Pedestrian injuries rise due to icy conditions
The HSE is reporting a rise in the number of people presenting with fall-related injuries at hospitals.
It is being put down to icy conditions on roads and footpaths across the country.
The Government is coming under fire for failing to ensure local authorites have sufficient funding to allow for road and footpath gritting.
