Eight young men, all in their twenties, have collected a cheque for nearly €7m at the National Lottery Head Quarters.

The men, who all work together at Merops Nutrition on Ballymount Road in Dublin, came forward today as the lucky winners of the fifth largest lotto draw.

Paula McEvoy from the National Lottery has said: “A member of the group, Graham Finherty, who purchased the ticket and whose numbers won the jackpot, discovered it last night and contacted his colleagues. They all got together this morning and were able to collect the cheque.”
